LEGISLATURE-STATEMENT OF FINDINGS REGARDING LANDFILL PUBLIC FORUM: NO ONE WISHED TO BE HEARD BUILDING COMMITTEE: SKIPPED TO OLD BUSINESS OLD BUSINESS: 1. HIGHWAY BUILDING REPAIRS-NO CHANGE ORDERS THIS MONTH 2. CHEMUNG-ASHLAND HIGHWAY INITIATIVE-NO NEWS, NO MOVEMENT. WAITING ON TN. OF ASHLAND DECISION. NEW BUSINESS: 1. WINTER SNOW EXPENDITURES-CHRIS DOANE GAVE UPDATE. ONE HALF OF 2015 SNOW REMOVAL SEASON HAS BEEN COMPLETED WITH 36% OF THE SNOW REMOVAL BUDGET USED AND 36% OF THE SNOW PAYROLL BUDGET USED. TOWN IS IN GOOD SHAPE WITH MARCH AND DECEMBER LEFT TO COVER. 3,500 TONS OF SAND USED THIS YEAR ALL CAME FROM OUR GRAVEL PIT. GREAT SAVINGS OVER HAVING TO PURCHASE OUTSIDE SUPPLIES. HIGHWAY WORKERS HAVE BEEN THAWING LOTS OF PIPE THIS SEASON WITH THE EXTREME TEMPERATURES. TOWN MAY GET A LITTLE EXTRA “CHIPS” MONEY AND THE POTHOLES THIS SUMMER WILL BE BAD DUE TO THE EXTREME TEMPERATURES OF THIS WINTER. 2. RICHTER ASKS THE TOWN ATTORNEY, TIM BOCEK, TO RESEARCH THE TOWN DOING A BOND ANTICIPATION NOTE TO FUND THE BUILDING REPAIRS. 3. RICHTER ADVISES THAT THE FINANCIAL REPORT FOR THE 2014 FISCAL YEAR IS COMPLETE AND AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION IN THE TOWN CLERK’S OFFICE.
