Bookreview
“Homecoming”
After being deserted in a mall parking lot by her mother, Dicey struggles to take care of
her brothers and sister and find the rest of their family. They try to find their aunt and find out
she lives a long ways away; but when they get there they find out she is dead. So they stay with
their cousin and find out they have a grandmother that is living. So they take a bus and try to find
her.
What I really liked about this book was that the whole time they were traveling, Dicey
stayed with them and acted like their mother when she was only 13. I can tell how much family
meant to her and that she would never leave them or put them down.
