Some Tips for Troubleshooting:<ul>
=>If we delete the IOS from flash & still shows up in the flash to free up the space use the command
squeeze flash:
=> On CatOS to disable/enable terminal logging :
set logging session disable / set logging session enable respectively.
=> To force a state change in the switch supervisor for Multilayer switches (6500 etc)
for IOS - redundancy switch-activity force
for catOS - Switch supervisor
=> To clear idle session in cat OS
disconnect (session-id)
=> To check voice Modules on Cisco Routers (ISR) use the following commands:
sh diag | i PVDM
for eg: PVDM Slot 0:
64-channel (G.711) Voice/Fax PVDMII DSP SIMM PVDM daughter card
Product (FRU) Number : PVDM2-64
PVDM Slot 1:
64-channel (G.711) Voice/Fax PVDMII DSP SIMM PVDM daughter card
Product (FRU) Number : PVDM2-64
R#test voice driver
Enter VPM or HDV or ATM AIM or NM-HD-xx or HDV2 slot number : 0

=> Cisco Phones use 15.4 MW by default but it only needs 6.3 MW so if we are running low on power
over ethernet we can change the power consumption by using the following command:
sw1(config-if)#power inline consumption ?
<4000-15400> milli-watts
=> To check TCP connections / blocks on switch use
Router#sh tcp bri
To clear the sessions which are holding up memory & causing high CPU
R#clear tcp tcb * ( It might take some time to clear the idle sessions)
=> For 6500 To log into SIP
