Adult Mental Health First Aid in Walsall –2012 dates
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is the help given to someone experiencing a mental health
problem before professional help is obtained. The course will be valuable for non-mental
health or social care professionals, carers and service users who want to learn more about
mental health.
MHFA does not teach people to be therapists. However, it does teach people how to recognise the symptoms of
mental health problems, how to provide initial help and how to guide a person towards appropriate professional help.
Participants will be provided with a MHFA handbook and a Certificate will be sent from the national office.
