Abstract Silver based ferrites have several applications in microwave components, drug delivery, magnetic fluids, and to increase the performance of lithium batteries etc. Hence, the investigating the nano phase of this material is of considerable importance. We have synthesized nano phased silver ferrite particles by co precipitation method. In this method, stoichiometric ratios of nitrates of silver and ferric are used. And the stoichiometric quantity of NaOH is added to the homogeneous mixture of above cationic solutions, heated and stirred for longer time. The precipitated particles are processed and annealed by adopting systematic procedure [calcinated at different temperatures 400o,700o,900oC).. The resulting powders were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscope (SEM). And magnetic properties by vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) The details will be presented.
