party:

Party Agreement
A. Deposit: A fifty (50%) percent deposit is required to secure party.
Party shall not be considered reserved until the agreement is signed
and the deposit is received. The remaining balance is due before party
begins.
B. Refund Policy: Postponement. If inclement weather, rain or
high winds are forecasted for the time that your party is scheduled,
then SS has the right to postpone the party. Parent may reschedule
the party within 30 days of the original event date at no additional

cost. If postponement of an event is not possible, deposit will be
refunded.
C. Cancellation.
Party may be cancelled with refund of deposit with
no less than 72 hour notice to SS.
D. Overtime: Pony parties are 2 hours for the above stated price.
Any time over this is $50 for each additional 1/2 hour.
E. Damages: Acts of God or unforeseen events may prevent us from
providing the party. Should your party be affected by such an incident,
a full refund shall be made of all moneys received and SS shall not be
held liable for further loss.
F. Waiver/Release/Hold Harmless and Acknowledgment of
Risk: The undersigned understands and acknowledges that equestrian
activities including play on a pony or horse entails both known and
unknown risks including, but not limited to, serious physical injury or
death from falling, slipping, crashing or colliding, etc, to any
participant. Furthermore, the undersigned acknowledges that such
risks cannot be eliminated in their entirety.
I,_________________________, hereby voluntarily and expressly
assume all risks of equestrian activities including play on a pony or
horse and waive, release, forever discharge and hold harmless Sand
Hill Stable LLC, Betsy Shaw, and Melissa Rush-Batista, and their
respective agents, employees, contractors, members, partners,
insurers, heirs and estates (collectively “Releasees”), from any and all
liability, claims, demands, causes of action, damages, loss or rights
whatsoever whether personal to me or to a third party, including my
child/children, which are in any way connected with or arising from
equestrian activities, including play on or around ponies, and/or the
contracted party. The undersigned further agrees to defend and
indemnify Releasees from and against all liability, claims, demands,
causes of action, damages, loss and rights of any kind whatsoever
arising from or relating to the contracted party and/or any person’s
participation in equestrian activities (including play on or around
ponies) at such party, including, but not limited to those allegedly
attributable to or arising from the negligent acts or omissions of
Releasees.

G. A set of Safety Rules must be reviewed prior to your party and
are included below which the undersigned agrees to follow and utilize
at all times. All children or individuals must follow safety rules.
Balloons, noise makers and items that will spook the pony/horses
should not be brought up to the animals. Children must not wave or
hit ponies with hats, ropes, or balloons at any time. Parents and/or
guardians are responsible for their children and should not allow
children (or adults) to go behind or underneath the pony/horses and
should not allow them to approach the pony/horses unless
accompanied by a Sand Hill Stable representative.
H. Ponies: Buddy can carry up to 85 lbs; Blue up to 125 lbs.
I acknowledge and agree that I have read and reviewed the
foregoing Party Agreement, including the Waiver/Release and
Acknowledgement of Risks and I agree to be bound by the
same.

These rules will be included with each invitation. Parents please
familiarize yourself and your child with them before the party.
SAFETY RULES
1. Wear safe, closed toe shoes. No sandals, Crocs, or flip flops.
2. No running, yelling, screaming, or horseplay in the barn or around
the ponies.
3. No throwing of objects, unless it is part of a game.
4. Do not approach the ponies unless accompanied by a Sand Hill
Representative.
5. Helmets will be provided and must be worn while mounted.
6. Do not climb on fences or gates.
7. Children must be attended at all times.
8. No spooking the ponies/horses. No hitting ponies with hats, ropes,
balloons, etc...
9. Do not feed any animals on the property.
10. All children should wash their hands after riding or petting the
ponies, and especially before eating.
11. Waiver signed by each child’s parent is required in order for child
to participate in pony rides.
Waiver
The undersigned, for him/herself and her/his child/children, hereby acknowledges and
agrees that equestrian activities, including but not limited to play on or around ponies,
are inherently dangerous and involve the risk of serious injury and/or death and the
undersigned expressly assumes the risk of all such activities for her/himself and her/his
child and waives, discharges and releases all claims, causes of action, damages,
demands and rights of any kind whatsoever arising from or pertaining to his/her or
his/her child’s participation in equestrian activities, including play on or around ponies,
against Sand Hill Stable LLC, Betsy Shaw, and Melissa Rush-Batista and their
respective agents, insurers, employees, contractors, members, partners, heirs, estates
and assigns. The undersigned further agrees to defend and indemnify Sand Hill Stable

LLC, Betsy Shaw, Melissa Rush-Batista and their respective agents, employees,
members, partners, insurers, heirs and estates from and against all claims, causes of
action, demands, damages and loss of any kind whatsoever arising from or relating to
his/her and/or his/her child’s participation in equestrian activities, including play on or
around ponies, including, but not limited to those allegedly attributable to or arising from
the negligent acts or omissions of Sand Hill Stable LLC, Betsy Shaw, Melissa RushBatista and/or their respective agents, employees, members, partners and contractors.
