Surname Some surname spellings can change over time. Please use whatever spelling you believe is correct or you have documented
Forename(s) All known forenames or initials. These are the names by which this individual is/was known. Indicate if their name changed over
Dates
Location
Details their lifetime. Include the name at birth if known and use AKA if the person had a nickname
Be as accurate as you can. Exact date if known. You can also use
ABT yyyy (about), AFT yyyy (after), BEF yyyy (before), BET yyyy yyyy (between)
Be as precise as you can. Exact address, city, town, village or parish or country if event was overseas. Note: Births recorded overseas for children born to serving parents e.g. army, civil service etc would normally be classified BS (British Subject)
Occupation This can often be used to match up people with their ancestors and/or to help provenance. List occupations if they changed over time. For people who served in the forces, include Service
Number and dates of service
