Guide: Implementation of Drop Off Charge at Seoul(Bugok) & Incheon

All of Import containers should be returned as an empty to designated depot at same
location where containers are picked up under the CY delivery term..

In korea, HMM has operated inland Depot at Bugok and allowed all kind of empty return
regardless it’s terms & conditions for customer’s convenience.
However, Any more free drop off of Port CY cargo will not be allowed at Bugok & Incheon
unless free drop off is permitted on shipping contract since 1st Jan, 2013.

HMM will impose Drop Off Charge, KRW 100,000, for empty return of Pusan/Kwangyang CY
cargo into Seoul(Bugok) & Incheon effective from 1 st Mar, 2013, which means that Drop Off
of Port CY Cargo can be permitted at Bugok & Incheon CY by payment of KRW 100,000 per
unit.

Drop Off Charge can be pre-paid at Pusan/Kwangyang when delivery order is issued.

Drop Off Charge can be paid directly at Bugok and Incheon before empty container is
returned.
(Above Drop off charge is not the same as TMC(Terminal Management Charge) imposed
on CY trucker at Bugok ICD).

Before 1st Mar, 2013, empty return of Pusan/Kwangyang CY cargo into Seoul(Bugok) &
Incheon will be managed by HQ Inbound Sales team as same as current procedure.
