2013 Junior Lifesaver of the Year – Club Nominations
Nominations are now encouraged from all clubs (only one (1) Male and one (1) Female) for Junior Lifesaver
of the Year to be presented at the 2013 Adelaide Shores Junior State Championships immediately following
the March Past parade on Sunday, 10th March 2013 at Port Noarlunga SLSC.
Current outstanding contribution to a range of aspects of surf lifesaving is the major factor. The person
may have been involved in competition at a high level and this is one of the achievements to be considered.
This person will be seen as a ‘role model’ for other junior surf lifesavers.
Nomination criteria should encompass the following areas:










Attendance and participation at club junior training and activities
Demonstrating leadership and sharing skills and be able to follow instruction
Representing their club at carnivals and other surf sports events
Willing involvement in all areas of junior training (beach, water and club)
General knowledge of Surf Life Saving
Having a genuine interest in club activities
Have a past and future involvement in Surf Life Saving
Have obtained relevant Awards
Show self initiative
Is respected by other junior lifesavers and seen as a role model
