2015 Belted Galloway Premium Sale

National Belted Galloway Show and Annual Meeting of the Belted Galloway Society

Entry Rules:
All entries must be either:
1.
Purebred, registered(not recorded) Belted Galloways
2.
Right to flush, embryo’s, semen and other unique lots approved sale management
No Appendix recorded animals will be allowed in sale. All animals entered will be screened.
We will be selling a limited number of bulls. To sell a bull you must also sell one female lot. Remember, we
will be very selective on the bulls to be sold, to try to ensure the prices remain high.
A $100.00 per lot nomination fee must be included with the nomination form. Please send a separate form for
each animal nominated. All entry fees will be credited to your account and applied to your sale expenses. Any
animal cataloged but not sold will forfeit their entry fee. Animals may be substituted, provided the replacements
meet the sale requirements. Nomination fee will be refunded if withdrawn before cataloged or if not approved
for sale.
The original registration certificate must be included with all entries. No animal will sell unless the original
certificate is with the sale staff at the time of sale. Transfer papers will be available the day of the sale for your
signature.
New last year! The sale will be held in a different format than previous years. The sale will be held during
the Annual Meeting Tuesday, November 17, 2015. The live cattle lots will be available for buyers to see during
the day in the barns, but the auction will be held during the meeting at the Hilton Garden Inn. Instead of putting
the animals through a sale ring, we will have video footage of all lots being sold. Mr. Tommy Carper will be the
auctioneer and online bidding will be available the same as previous years.
All live sale lots must pay entry fee for the National Belted Galloway Show to pay for space in the barn for
display. Because the sale will be held before the show, we encourage sellers to be willing to show the sale
animal for the new buyer in the show the next day following the sale.
Any animal bred but not calved by sale day must be checked by a veterinarian and have a letter submitted
as to the results of the pregnancy check, by sale day. If animal is AI bred, you must provide a Semen
Certificate for the bull used.
All bulls over 12 months of age must be semen tested to sell. Proof must be provided before the sale.
No animal will be sold without:
1. Paid entry fee
2. Original registration certificate
3. Signed transfer form
4. Breeding or Semen certificate if required.
5. All sale cattle will need to have an RFID tag with premise ID
Reminder the $100 nomination fee, color pictures and a registration certificate must accompany Nomination
forms. Pregnancy check and semen test information can be turned in up until the time of the sale.

The catalog will be 8.5” by 11”, with a glossy full colored cover and inside pages. We will
also be selling advertising in the catalog to help cover costs.

Advertisement placement will be on a first come first served basis.
Advertisements are due September 12, 2015.
The sooner the ads are received the better. Prompt arrival of all ads will make layout of the
catalog easier. Ad layout help is available at no additional cost.
Advertisement space is available to anyone. A catalog will be sent to the homes of all
members of the Belted Galloway Society, Inc.
