JOB DESCRIPTION & PERSON SPECIFICATION

1. Primary Objectives
-
To support the Merchandising Team in achieving agreed Sales & Profit targets,
primarily by monitoring retail stock levels to ensure we have the right stock in the right
place at the right time.
2. Main Tasks and Key Areas of Work
Range Planning
 Input to the Store Report Analysis, necessary for Lessons Learnt meeting and attend
the meeting
 Work closely with Visual Merchandising team on store grading & stock density levels
 Support the Assistant Merchandisers with Stores Assortment Planning for pre-season
Range Planning.
Stock Distribution
 Responsible for maximising store performance through effective allocation of stock.
Including redistribution and effective replenishment of stock for all stores, the online
store as well as for the wholesale department.
 When Purchase Orders are placed, set up Store level Target & Minimum stock levels
within the futura retail system to ensure efficient replenishment of stock for online and
in stores.
 Input retail allocation quantities onto the split sheet once received from Stock and
Data.
 Prepare initial split lists to enable the warehouse to distribute stock.
 Regularly monitor and update Target & Minimum stock levels based on both planned
& actual trade levels
 Redistribute stock regarding stores Stock not on Display lists
 Run stock request reviews, including reports by branch, on a weekly basis in order to
determine redistribution of stock between channels.
Support the Merchandising Team
 Research and prepare information as requested by the Merchandiser, using
appropriate resources and provide feedback
 Assess sales (by option), review intake of stock and distribution in line with
requirements
 Support the Assistant Merchandiser in building stock packages for new store
openings, ensuring product mix is appropriate for store profile.
 Attend the Weekly Retail Meeting to report on stock distribution issues and take
necessary action to resolve these
Trading
 Work with the Merchandiser to build and update relevant seasonal reports
Communication

Manage queries to and from stores, wholesale department and Online Customer
Services
Regular communication with stores regarding Stock not on display
Work closely with the Marketing team to ensure all Marketing Stock Requests are
dealt with in a timely fashion
Administration Support
 Set up and maintain organised filing system
 Make effective use of all systems available
 Collate and prepare relevant information for meetings
 Undertake ad-hoc analysis as required
Store visits
 Identify visit opportunities
 Prepare for visit, identify issues to raise, report findings and collate information to
discuss with team
 Propose action following visit
