Notify file clerk to create new subdivision/site file. Provide
needed data.

Ensure site/subdivision can be easily located from plan (e.g.
vicinity map/existing street names).

Check for erosion and sediment control measures and
narrative in accordance with Virginia Erosion and Sediment
Control Handbook when applicable (i.e., disturbed land area

feet in CBPA).

If a detention lake is shown on the plan, ensure the master
drainage plan for the development has been approved
before approving excavation of the lake. If E & S approval
does not include lake excavation, there should be a note on
the plans and a condition in the approval letter stating that
the approval does not include lake excavation.
