Fields of interest
 theoretical and experimental investigation of local atomic geometry and electronic structure in
various types of condensed matter including:
- solids (advanced alloys, geological materials)
- nano-structures (nanoalloys, nanotubes, catalysts)
- biological materials with active metal centers (hemoglobin)

effects and properties under the study:
- local structure of nanoalloys
- local structure of complex condensed materials
- electronic structure (density of states and fine details of hybridization of electronic
states) of condensed materials
- polarized XANES analysis
- spin-dependent XANES analysis
