CARE OF TROPICAL FISH DURING HOLIDAYS
Only unplug the filter when cleaning, and heater while changing water. The lamp is
on a time clock to come on for nine hours a day between 7.30am - 4.30pm. May
unplug for cleaning, but please remember to but back on time clock.
About every two weeks change some of the water (senior technician will normally do
this but if away for longer than two week during summer holidays or ill will need to
be done by caretakers.)
1. Fill bucket with warm water (aprox. 25oc ) and add

water.
2. Remove one-quarter- one fifth of the water in the tank using a siphon tube and
add the treated water warm water.
If Algae builds up on glass please remove using an algae scraper.
In the normal way the fish will be feed Monday to Friday in the morning with tropical
Aquarian fish flakes. On a Friday with some living food which will last them a
weekend. ( bank holiday weekends slow release blocks)
During holidays when senior technician in will continue as normal. If planned to be
away for week or two will leave fish with slow release food, which can last up to two
weeks. If Senior Technician away for longer or ill please continue food raceme or
give food block as necessary every two weeks or so.
Daily preferable but at least a few time a week check the filter is working and
thermometer reading between 23-25 oc if not a new filter or heater may have to be

Middlesbrough). Also spend few minutes checking fish look health if not please
consult back of starting out with Tropical fish or phone pet shop on
