Description of the workshops: Due to globalization, international society is rapidly
shrinking with the line between international law and national law becoming increasingly
blurred. Given the increasing importance of international law and how close it has become
to our day to day lives, we are organizing a series of workshops on the following topics:
Global Financial Crisis and Wisconsin – March 25, 2009
International Agriculture and Food – April 21, 2009
Globalization and Labor: Outsourcing and Immigration – May 5, 2009
Registration: Registration is free but space is limited. If you would like to register, please
fill the registration form and fax, email or mail it to Sumudu Atapattu (see below for contact
details) before the date indicated for each workshop in order to facilitate planning:
Global Financial Crisis and Wisconsin – March 19, 2009
International Agriculture and Food – April 15, 2009
Globalization and Labor: Outsourcing and Immigration – April 30, 2009
Resource material: Each registered participant will receive resource material which will
include published articles by the speakers and other relevant documents.
