ABOUT THE SEMINAR
Dr. Mahalingam College of Engineering
and Technology (MCET) was established in
the year 1998 with a mission to impart high
quality competency based education in
Engineering and Technology to the younger
generation with the required skills and abilities
to face the challenging needs of the industry
around the globe. MCET is an autonomous,
self-financing,
coeducational
Engineering
College approved by All India Council for
Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi &
affiliated to Anna University, Chennai.
Institution accredited by the National Board of
Accreditation(NBA), New Delhi and ISO
9001:2000 certified by TUV. MCET currently
offers 9 UG, 6 PG programs and 2 Doctoral
programmes in Engineering and Technology.
This National seminar concentrates on recent
trends in the smart Instruments and wireless
technology in industry. Recent scenario in
industrial automation is enhanced with
advancement in Wireless instrumentation and
smart Instruments. Also focusing on expertise
to be created for installing wireless devices
such as wireless sensors, wireless LANs, or
RFID based devices in an industrial
environment with relevant protocol standards.

quality engineers in the field of industrial
automation. Departments provide a platform
for the learners to equip themselves with the

as Industry machines, PCB Design and value
added programmes on DCS & PLC, LabVIEW
