____Harvest Carnival Coordinate the annual Harvest Carnival benefit for the children of Stillwater and surrounding towns (includes soliciting sponsors, organizing Chili Cook-off and planning canned food drive.) Contact local restaurants and get them to take part in Eat for Pete.
____House Dec/WalkaroundWork with the Greek houses on the House Decorations as well as oversee the process the week of more strenuously. Work with the city and physical plant on street closing and also coordinate the vendors for the night of Walkaround.
____Public Outreach Media relations (writing press releases)(working with radio, TV and newspaper for interviews); work closely with the Alumni Communications Director and develop a comprehensive HC presentation. Plan, coordinate, gather materials for & assist with alumni registration on Fri. & Sat. of Homecoming Week; plan fun activities for children; print and distribute homecoming packets to Stillwater area hotels; formulate other activities to encourage alumni involvement.
Coordinate/ advertise events.
____Promotional Design- Completely responsible for writing, designing and creating the commemorative homecoming program/magazine. Come up with the concept for the t shirt design and work with the University Store to market the sales of the shirt and work with Eskimo Joes on Joes Cup design. Design all flyers and graphic print pieces to promote homecoming activities.
____VIP- Oversee the Homecoming Royalty selection; coronation and Homecoming royalty appearances. Prepare special gifts for VIP judges; plan special reunions and the Grand Marshal reception; coordinate Thursday night food delivery. Coordinate tours and hospitality room for 50 year reunion group.
____ParadePlan and organize the parade by working with alumni staff and city officials (includes soliciting entries and being present the morning of parade.) Contact & secure high school bands for the parade as well as oversee them the morning of, work closely with
OSU band office.
____Athletic PridePlan, coordinates, and develops creative activities for the Spirit Rally!
Supervise Football Frenzy, Flag Football competition.
____Campus LifeEncourage participation and serve as a liaison from Res Life groups in Homecoming activities; plan and coordinate
Res Life Homecoming Bash; oversee Orange Reflection lighting contest.
Encourage participation and serve as a liaison from Student
Organizations in Homecoming activities. Encourage participation in Most Spirited College Competition.
____University Spirit Promote overall university spirit and participation; coordinate Hester Street painting, and spirit activities.
Supervise and coordinate the sign competition, decorate theta pond for “Orange Reflection at the Pond,” and promote and expand
“Orange Glow”, which encourages businesses to decorate orange.
