TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF AI SERVICE
Woodfieldparkstud offers to provide an artificial service (AI) or live cover from WOODFIELDPARK
LA CROIX for the mare
……………………………………………………………………………………………
nominated by myself, ………………………………….…………., for the 200_ season.
This is accepted on the following terms:

I will pay the complete package fee of $1750 prior to semen being sent. (Booking fee, Stud Fee,
First Collection, First shipment anywhere in NZ and GST is included in complete package fee. If
live cover is selected then on farm AI for the first cycle and 4 weeks grazing are included)

A deposit of $300 must accompany the booking form. This will be deducted from the Service Fee.
In the case of a mare not conceiving this deposit will not be refunded but will be deemed to be a
handling and usage charge

If mare does not conceive after 3 collections with a veterinary certificate to confirm mare not in
Foal, then the service fee will carry over to the next breeding season where a new handling usage
fee applies.

It must be certified by a veterinary surgeon that ................…… was covered on ...................
only. This contract is made to ........................... who is the owner/leasee of .........………......
The Semen must only be inseminated into the named mare. If additional mares are inseminated, a
full stud fee must be paid for each mare inseminated. The stud reserves the right to DNA test any
subsequent foals in order to ascertain parentage if this deemed necessary.

LIVE FOAL GUARANTEE: A return service is given for mares served by the Stud who abort or
whose foal is delivered dead or dies within 24 days of birth. This must be certified by a veterinary
Surgeon. No refunds are given. Return handling fee is payable as are the collection and courier
fees.

The right to receive a return service is lost if I sell the mare unless agreed by the Stud to carry it
over to the new owner.

The right to receive a return service is lost should no live foal eventuate as a result of the death of
my mare.

The right to receive a return service is lost if the mare is not scanned properly and carries twins.

The booking of a mare by Al will be deemed to indicate acceptance of these terms and conditions.

In the event that the mare proves to be infertile it can be transferred to a “new” mare provided the
stud received a Vet Cert which states that the mare is not in foal (brands and markings of the mare
to be supplied).

Damage cause by the mare to the facility/property of the stud will be charged to the mare owner
