Objective I: Describe the impact of Hurricane
Katrina on the Gulf Coast Region, residents,
evacuees, rescue workers, and volunteers.

the physical, health, and mental health need of
Hurricane Katrina victims
Objective 3: Describe the early stage of disaster
intervention and the issues that mental health
professionals will encounter in working with
disaster victims.
