I wish to submit the following report on the meeting conducted by the Racing Operator, the Gold Circle
Racing and Gaming Group, on Saturday 23rd January 2010, at Kenilworth Racecourse.

All the riders that participated at today’s race meeting were required to submit their Medical Record Books to
the Clerk of Scales in accordance with Rule 25.3.1.

The Horse Identifier, Miss Lisa van As, checked the Identity Documents of all the horses engaged for today’s
race meeting, and their markings were found to correspond with their passports.
The plates fitted to all the runners engaged for today’s race meeting were checked by the Course Farrier, Mr
Joey Johnson, and were found to conform to the rules.
Jockeys F Anthony, D Ashby, K Neisius and C Puller were selected at random for the taking of urine samples
for analysis for drug abuse and were subjected to a breathalyser test for alcohol abuse.

Jockey C du Plooy, the rider of LEGEND KILLA, was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7, in that he
failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to other runners on his inside when he shifted in at about
the 2300m. Jockey C du Plooy signed an admission of guilt and was suspended from riding in races for a
period of one week. (w.e.f. 24/01/2010 to 30/01/2010 both days inclusive).

The start of this race was delayed after Jockey K Neisius’, (the rider of PRABU), crop broke and a
replacement crop had to be taken down to the start.

COOL CONQUEROR (G Schlechter) and PECOURT (AUS) (G Hatt) came together near the 100 m.

PRABU (K Neisius) had a tendency to lay out in the latter stages.

In view of the above report from the Starter concerning JET PARK, Trainer J Snaith will be advised
that this filly’s starting stall certificate has been withdrawn, in terms of Rule 61.6.10, and she may not
be presented for re-certification within the next seven days, in terms of Rule 61.1.4. She may not be
entered, or started, to race until she is passed tractable in terms of Rule 50.1.3.2.
d)
In view of the above report from the Starter concerning MISS FILLY, Trainer G Kotzen will be
advised that this filly’s starting stall certificate has been withdrawn, and she is suspended for a period
of one month, in terms of Rule 61.6.10. She may not be entered, or started, to race until the period of
suspension has lapsed and she is passed tractable in terms of Rule 50.1.3.1.
e)
Jockey K Jupp, the rider of SOPRANO SINGER, reported that this filly did not stride out freely in
running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the filly on her return to the unsaddling
enclosure.

A Member of the Stipendiary Board called for a review of the start of the race to determine whether or
not CYBER CASE (M Mienie) had been unduly prevented from starting on terms with the field due to
the front gate being marginally slow to open. After reviewing the films of the start the Stewards were
satisfied that CYBER CASE (M Mienie) was not unduly prejudiced by the marginally slow opening of
the front gate, and CYBER CASE (M Mienie) was declared a runner.
