The plates fitted to all the runners engaged for today’s race meeting were checked by the Course Farrier, Mr Joey Johnson, and were found to conform to the rules. Jockeys F Anthony, D Ashby, K Neisius and C Puller were selected at random for the taking of urine samples for analysis for drug abuse and were subjected to a breathalyser test for alcohol abuse.
