Director of DMPK
We are seeking a director of DMPK to support drug discovery efforts for the treatment of cancer.
The primary responsibilities are to lead a team of scientists providing both in vitro and in vivo DMPK
support for cancer drug discovery efforts in the setting of an innovative and fully integrated biotech
organization with a focus on translational research.
This candidate is expected to contribute to all phases of the preclinical drug discovery process using
both internal resources and external collaborations where appropriate. In addition, the candidate will
work closely with the pharmacology group to develop innovative approaches to
pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic modeling in animal models of cancer.
Requirements:








Deep understanding of in vitro and in vivo DMPK techniques and their relationship to drug
discovery and development with an emphasis on quantitative bioanalytical methodology
Proven track record gained in the pharmaceutical or CRO environment
Prior experience with predictive pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic modeling desirable
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with peers across multiple areas of expertise both
inside and outside of Beigene Bio
Experience in managing scientists in a research organization
Excellent analytical and organizational skills
Excellent communications skills – bilingual in English and Chinese
PhD degree required
Research Investigator/Sr. Research Investigator/Principal Research Investigator in
Oncology in vivo pharmacology
We are seeking a leader in the Oncology in vivo pharmacology group to support drug discovery efforts
for the treatment of cancer.
The primary responsibilities are to lead a group of scientists in developing and using mouse models of
cancer for use in drug discovery efforts in the setting of an innovative and fully integrated biotech
organization with a focus on translational research.
This candidate is expected to present and communicate internally and to external collaborators. The
candidate will also be supervising a group of 3 to 5 research scientists.
Requirements:


Strong expertise in use of animal models for drug discovery and development, preferably in
pharmaceutical oncology drug discovery.
Experience in integrating pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic and efficacy endpoints required





Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with peers across multiple areas of expertise both
inside and outside of Beigene Bio
Experience in managing scientists in a research organization
Excellent analytical and organizational skills

Senior Research Investigator in Medicinal chemistry
BeiGene Bio, a fully integrated biotech company focused on anti-cancerous
drugs research and development, is currently looking for enthusiastic PhD
level of Senior Research Investigators in medicinal chemistry who will design
synthetic routes and synthesize compounds.
This individual will also be a
leader in a drug discovery program.
As a member of the drug discovery team
you will impact the discovery and development of agents to treat various
cancers.
Responsibilities









Design and execution of multi-step syntheses of new compounds and
analogues of existing lead molecules for biological evaluation on
milligram to gram scale.
Conduct appropriate synthetic follow-up studies to optimize bioactivity
obtained in support of internal and collaborative programs.
Optimization of synthetic routes for specific new product candidates.
Design and construction of focused and targeted chemical libraries for
screening in selected biological target systems utilizing parallel
synthesis techniques.
Development and synthesis of novel fragments for incorporation into
target molecules.
Maintain up-to-date records for all work performed and ensure a safe
workplace.
Mentor and supervise associate scientists and serve as a source of
synthetic chemistry expertise.
Manage external chemists and collaborations resulting in the delivery of
drug candidates on aggressive time lines.
Actively follow scientific advancements and literature within the area
of research interest.
Qualifications








Ph.D. in Organic or Medicinal Chemistry with 0-3 years industrial
experience
Demonstrated proficiency and expertise in multi-step synthesis with a
thorough knowledge of modern organic chemistry, purification methods and
analytical techniques
Ability to solve challenging chemistry hurdles effectively
Ability to meet challenging timelines and flexibility to adapt to
changing project requirements
Ability to solve medicinal chemistry problems via effective structureactivity relationship (SAR)
Ability to lead a medicinal chemistry project team scientifically and
organizationally.
Proficiency with computers including standard office programs, use of
chemical structure drawing programs, presentation preparation and
database searching
Good oral and written communication skills

colony management, tumor imaging and mouse genetics
Broad knowledge of cancer biology
