Welcome to our practice! Like children, kittens need a series of vaccinations. These vaccines are given over
the course of about 3 months and are administered every 3 weeks beginning at 6 to 8 weeks of age. The
series is complete when the kittens are approximately 16 weeks old. We offer a vaccination package to help
make your visits both convenient and affordable. This package includes all the vaccines your kitten will
need up to 16 weeks of age, 4 office visits, and 4 dewormings. Also, a perk to purchasing this package is a
10% discount on flea/tick products, heartworm preventatives and medicines or supplements. This discount
is valid until your kitten is one year old.

Spaying or neutering your pet is one of the keys to a healthy, happy, long-lived pet. Did you know that
female cats can produce about 18 kittens a year? Did you also know that there are literally MILLIONS of
pets euthanized annually due to over population? Hammocks Veterinary Hospital is a strong advocate for
these unheard voices and will do everything we can to prevent any more euthanasia of “unwanted” pets
These statistics are just a few reasons to spay/neuter your new kitten at the appropriate age (about 6 months
old). Besides the unwanted behaviors of spraying, howling, running out any open door, and fighting with
other cats causing unnecessary visits to the vet for abscesses and other injuries, there are many valid health
related reasons to sterilize “Fluffy”. You will eliminate the risk of pyometra, a life-threatening infection of
the uterus for females, testicular tumors for males and reduce the risk of mammary gland cancer (breast
cancer) greatly. In order to prevent these occurrences, it is in your pet’s best health interest to be spayed or
neutered. We offer a one-time option to include the applicable surgical procedure with the purchase of the
Kitten Wellness Package. The prices listed below are only available at the time of package purchase. For the
best future Fluffy can have……spay/neuter.
