Spring 2006
February is National Heart
Month!
This would be a good time to
start or continue doing
Community CPR courses, Jump
rope for Heart, Hoops for Heart,
or Heart Walk.
If you would like more
information on any of these
programs, log onto the AHA web
site.
Just a few reminders:
If you are teaching a Friends and
Family class there is no charge for
the cards. However, AHA and
ENMU-R TC are keeping track of
all those courses taught. Please
mail those rosters as soon as the
class is taught. Rosters that
are more than 10 days will
have a late fee of 10.00. This
will not apply to the Training
Sites.
We are still receiving copies of
rosters; please remember to send
in the originals. Starting NOW,
please send a summary of the
rosters, for the TC is running out
of room to store such items. If
you needing assistance on how to
do this, let the TC know and
someone can help.
To clarify any misconceptions:
ALL CARDS HAVE A FEE (with
the exception of Friends and

FYI
Do you know that the AHA
instructor portal is almost up and
running? This will assist you and
the Training Center with all of the
new changes that are happening.
If you need help with getting into
this portal, please call the
Training Center. Plus, Peggy
always enjoys talking the
instructors.
Check it out,

program home pages, EMS and
scroll down to CTC.
Did you know that BLS, ACLS
and PALS are now online? What
this means is that a student may
take the course on line and the
skills “test off” with an instructor.
When turning in those types of
rosters, copies of the certificate
MUST accompany the roster.
