We will look at the nutritional requirements of the suckler cow throughout the year and feeding options such as silage, straw, fodder crops etc but with a focus on making more of grass. A practical body condition scoring demo will be held as well as understanding your silage analysis and what this means for supplementary feeding. The final session will look at options for feeding the weaned calf depending on the target market, either as a store, finished animal or as a replacement heifer for the herd.
