30% of guests opt-in to zSurvey without incentive where traditional printed receipt methods
yield less than 1%.
Through another proprietary tool, zData™, Ziosk® provides daily, weekly and monthly reports
on sales, server performance and guest satisfaction to help you run your business.
But what does it cost? The Ziosk platform is a revenue center, not a cost center for the restaurant
and our offering is “less than free.”
*Ziosk offers several PPA increasing features for restaurants to offer their guests including the

Bill McNamara has over18 years of experience in
the disciplines of operations, finance, consulting,
project management and accounting. He is an expert
at designing and implementing strategies that grow
revenue, market share and profitability, and is

achieve operational efficiency and productivity
throughout all aspects of an organization.
Before joining Ziosk, Bill was the Vice President of
U.S. Sales Operations at SAP Americas. Bill has

and consulting at PeopleSoft, Kraft Foods and

Dave Miller brings more than 30 years of business
experience and restaurant industry relationships to
Ziosk. As founder of JTECH Communications, he
created and sold the first guest paging system for the
restaurant industry. Today, JTECH pagers are used

Before founding JTECH, he was a successful
restaurateur whose first restaurant was recognized
by the New York Times as one of the top 10 in
Florida. Well known and highly regarded in the
restaurant industry, Dave is a sought‐after speaker
with appearances at industry events. He has
moderated at the National Restaurant Association
for the past decade, where he originated and still
leads the popular “Technology Tour.”
Dave graduated from the Carroll School of
Management at Boston College.
Doug Wallace
Chief of Operations
Doug Wallace is responsible for all operations
beginning in the Ziosk supply chain, through
systems deployment and monitoring, data collection
and protection and contract management with
customers. He was formerly at Fujitsu Transaction
Solutions where he was responsible for the
transaction and point of sale systems and operations.
He and his team serviced 400 retail and banking
clients with over 40,000 stores, many of which
operated seven days a week, 24 hours per day. Doug
has a BS in electronic engineering from the
University of Nottingham

Jack Baum is a co‐founder and chairman of the
board of Ziosk and is recognized for his business
expertise within both the restaurant and technology
industries.
Jack has been involved with multiple start‐up
companies including Dallas private equity firm,
Sagebrook Technology Partners as the founding
partner. Jack was also a founder of Ingenient
Technologies.
Prior to Sagebrook in 1998, Jack spent 18 years in
the restaurant and food service industries, founding
Landlock Seafood, Newport's, Hampton's, Nickel
City Grill as well as The Canyon Cafe Restaurant
Group. In 1997, Canyon Cafe was selected as one of
Nation's Restaurant News’ Hot Concepts. That same
year Canyon Cafe was bought by a $1 billion public
company.
Kevin Mowry
Director of Engineering
Kevin Mowry is an expert in telecommunications
and embedded systems and he holds four patents for
work completed at Motorola. Kevin was
instrumental in developing wireless infrastructure
components and leading international
telecommunications standards activities.
Kevin also led product management and marketing
efforts for Texas Instruments’ (TI) OMAP family of
wireless application processors, working closely
with Nokia, Samsung, and LG to deploy new
smartphone products into the mobile marketplace.
At TI he introduced the industry’s first Nokia Series
60 reference design for smartphones and led several
joint development efforts with Microsoft to create
compelling platforms for handset manufacturers
based on the latest processors.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer
Science from Northwest Nazarene University in the
state of Idaho and an MBA from Southern
Methodist University.
Bhaveeni Parmar
General Counsel
Bhaveeni Parmar is responsible for managing the
overall legal strategy of the company. She brings
more than 12 years experience in counseling
entrepreneurs and technology companies on various
legal matters. Bhaveeni was recently voted by her
peers as one of D Magazine’s 2014 Best Lawyers in
Dallas and recognized as a Rising Star in
Intellectual Property Law by Law & Politics
Magazine in 2007-2009, 2011, 2013 & 2014.
Prior to joining us, Bhaveeni ran a successful law
practice focusing on intellectual property,
technology transactions and social media
compliance and was often called upon as a public
speaker to present on such topics. She is currently a
Council Member for the State Bar of Texas
Intellectual Property Section and served as chair of
its Diversity Committee for a number of years.
Bhaveeni earned her electrical engineering degree
from Rochester Institute of Technology and her juris
doctorate degree from University of New
Hampshire School of Law (formerly known as
Franklin Pierce Law Center).
John Regal
Chief Marketing Officer
John Regal has a 20-year history of providing the
visionary thinking and strategic leadership to create
profitable businesses. Throughout his career, John
has demonstrated he can market almost anything,
from cereal to cell phones to pharmaceuticals.
Some of the brands John has launched include
Prozac, Cranberry Almond Crunch Cereal, POM
Wonderful Pomegranate Juice and KajeetCell
Phones for Kids. He’s also managed multi‐million
dollar campaigns for established brands like Post
Grape‐Nuts Cereal and Microsoft Windows. John’s
secret to his success is identifying market trends
ahead of the curve. He then develops products to
fulfill these trends and brings them to market using
an integrated marketing campaign with social
media, PR, and experiential programs.
Raymond Howard
Chief of Client Operations/Founder
Raymond Howard, a Ziosk co‐founder, draws upon
more than a dozen years of system and sales
engineering, strategic selling and sales management
experience to ensure the successful adoption,
deployment, and on‐going support of TTM’s
technology by major restaurant chains.
Previously, Raymond managed a team of direct
sales representatives, independent resellers, and
public relations consultants across the southwest
United States for Tyco Electronics. At Tyco, he
successfully led the technical and sales capture
strategies for turnkey wireless networks for
government, utility, transportation, and commercial
opportunities ranging from $3 million to $75
million. He was responsible for securing prominent
clients including the State of Texas, Texas Utilities,
Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, and
American Electric Power.
Raymond holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical
Engineering from North Carolina State University
and an MBA from Southern Methodist University.
Rebecca McGregor
Head of Talent Management
Rebecca McGregor, SPHR (Certified Senior
Professional in Human Resources), has over 20
years of HR experience in the industries of
technology, hospitality, entertainment and travel. As
Ziosk’s HR Leader, Rebecca is responsible for the
full scope of HR strategy and execution initiatives
that support the overall organization. She is also
responsible for fostering Ziosk’s culture and
enabling an HR environment that will scale with a
rapid growth company full of passionate employees!
Before joining Ziosk, Rebecca was a Human Capital
Consultant at Resources Global Professionals where
she consulted for both public and privately held
companies working on key HR programs and
initiatives including talent acquisition and
management, total reward program development,
administration leadership development and
employee engagement. Rebecca also held several
key HR positions at Sabre, Inc. supporting multiple
lines of business by providing HR consulting for
over 10 acquisitions / outsourcing projects, both
domestic and international. Rebecca started her HR
career at Fox Sports Networks where the
organization grew 350% over 4 years.
Shawn Gentry
Chief Business Development Officer & Co-Founder
Shawn Gentry, leverages over 18 years of sales,
marketing, and business development experience to
lead Ziosk strategic sales and monetization
strategies.
Prior to Ziosk, he was involved in two successful
start-up ventures from concept to profitability in the
medical surgical market. Throughout his career,
Shawn has launched market-first technologies,
managed dynamic teams and implemented revenue
strategies to exceed revenue expectations. He also
serves on several new technology and digital media
panels with Digital Hollywood (Digital Out-ofHome Advertising Association), CES (consumer
electronics show) and NRA (National Restaurant
Association – Technology Forum).

More than 20 years of his experience has been with
Brinker International, most recently as Research and
Development Director. Tim developed and
implemented sustainable, scalable operations
solutions for both Chili¹s and On the Border
restaurant brands. Tim has a passion for innovation
and guest satisfaction. He has managed budgets and
processes, direct reports with cross-functional skills
and diverse backgrounds and relationships with
restaurant teams.
Viren Balar
Chief Technology Officer & Co-Founder
Viren Balar is an expert in technology architecture
and systems engineering with an extensive
background in wireless, broadband, and digital
signal processing technologies.
Prior to Ziosk’s formation, he led Texas
Instruments’ 35‐person global Wireless Terminal
Business Unit development team. In addition, Viren
founded and ran TI’s Near Shore Design Center in
Monterrey, Mexico managing 130 engineers and an
R&D budget of $12 million. Consistently
recognized as one of TI’s top engineers, he was a
member of the elite TI Tech Ladder group, which is
composed of less than 16% of the company’s
engineering population. Viren acquired business and
marketing experience while serving as founder and
president of a data solutions company and operating
a retail franchise.
Viren holds a Master of Science in Electrical
Engineering from the University of Southern
California and an MBA from Southern Methodist
University.

While Ziosk is revolutionizing dining, there is also a company-wide commitment to give back to
those around us. Our restaurant Clients feed hundreds of thousands of people each day, so at
Ziosk, we wanted to help feed those less fortunate. The North Texas Food Bank prepares
130,000 meals a day; however, the need is 300,000 a day in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. In March,
the team from Ziosk spent a day volunteering at the North Texas Food Bank Headquarters and
sorted 26,400 pounds of food to provide 22,000 meals to those in need.
