INTEGRATION NOTE PROJECT PROPOSAL CULTURE 2007 With regards to the system of cultural dissemination of the project, Marco Polo System G.e.i.e. proposes the following modality : 1) Realization of an “Itinerary exhibition” among the partners of the project on the theme of “architectonic and urban recovery”. This exhibition must be done in two levels: a) A common one for all the partner on the theme of the architectonic heritage of the dismissed military areas; b) One at vertical level of participation, of involvement of other relevant realities of the project of each co-organizer partner. The partners in simple adhesion will be able to define the integrative module, but give also a cultural contribution in terms of documentation and experience. The typology of the exhibition must be innovative and especially in the perspective of the new priorities of the planning 2007-2013 and in particular on the “Strategy of Lisbon” on the technological innovation. The first matter of the exhibition must deal with new productions in dvd video, short film, on the systems or the assets, on their usage or their accomplished or desired transformations. The ambient of realization of the exhibition must necessarily be those parts of dismissed military architectures on which the partner has starter some paths of recovery and valorisation and we propose that they could be featured by a sort of symbol element represented by a “Trojan horse”, as it has been suggested by the Hungarian partner ant that we believe that it would fit as formidable metaphor of the culture and of the cultural exchange as tool of victory on the defeated (the Trojan horse of the cultural exchange to conquer the forts as closed military locations and symbol of the conflicts). The system of placing inside the exhibition should be done as a video route in equipped rooms that develop ( with video - dvd projected in a continuous cycle) different themes or different periods or different architectonic typologies. The short films must comply with a formal homogeneity, time, ways of realization, technical standards and anything else useful to realise this product. 2) Realization of an event in the framework of the year 2008 “Intercultural dialogue on the state of art of the preservation of the architectonic heritage of the dismissed military areas” in Europe and the verification of the new methodologies of preservation and valorisation of this architectonic heritage in the period of the new planning 2007-2013. This event is propedeutic to the realisation of a series of technical seminars that must be accomplished on single relevant themes for the intercultural dialogue : a) Seminar 1 – Meeting organized among the cultural references of the project and an export of each country on the architectonic theme; b) Seminar 2 – Meeting organized among the cultural references of the project and an expert of each country on the theme of architectonic preservation and restoration; c) Seminar 3 – Meeting organized among the cultural references of the project and an expert of each country on the theme of realization of the architectonic cultural products; d) Seminar 4 – Meeting organized among the cultural references of the project and an expert of each country on the theme of the construction of the cultural marketing; e) Seminar 5 - Meeting organized among the cultural references of the project, the institutional persons in charge, the cultural references of the project and an expert in communication of the cultural products in order to elaborate the system of cultural products to present in the final event ( December 2008 ). The system Event-Seminars produces material (short films dvd) that anyway can be object of further dissemination at local level and school level ( homogeneous for all the partner). Performing arts Among each partner each year is performed an artistic event that has an approximate duration of three days , in the course of which it is available, thanks to the scientific coordination of the project, a shared set of management, technical and artistic contributions on the basis of which takes place the meeting and the collaboration among artists coming from different countries, cultures and from different disciplines (to be accomplished each time with the collaboration/management of the local partner). The event is preferably performed in concurrence with the moments of scientific study and dissemination foreseen by the project. Allowing a major communication between scientific skills and artists, increasing the perception of the complexity of the cultural themes. A common element of sharing among the partners , will be the development of innovative scenographical proposals that are capable to gather in relation the place of the performance (the forts, the castles, the arsenals, ecc.) with one or more of the artistic disciplines linked the expressions of contemporary art that we will propose, with a particular reference to the dance, to the theatre, and to cinema. In substance, the single event must be presented as element of experimentation and reproducibility inside the dismissed military structures exploiting, for example the acoustic effects of some inner spaces, the bastions as stages or gallery, water sheets for floating stages, ecc. In the specific, each partner proposes to the scientific coordination of the project, ideas, artistic and technical resources that consider to be functional to a better outcome of the initiative. The coordination (that can appoint a specific committee) shares with all the partners the achieved information, contributes to the elaboration and to the realization of the events in the single sites, stimulating the implementation and the confrontation of methods, tools and own models of different geographical and disciplinary origin. Three are the main goals to achieve: 1-create and share a production circuit specifically dedicated to the cultural and artistic re-use of the dismissed military heritage 2- strengthen the intercultural and inter-disciplinary dialogue in the European scientific and artistic community 3- improve the dissemination of the project and the fruition of the heritage among the interested countries 4- accomplish in 2008, the European year of the intercultural dialogue, a common artistic production to propose with a tournè in the sites linked to dismissed military architectures of all the partner countries 2 In conclusion such integrative module satisfies these Communitarian priorities: 1. Accomplishes an Event 2008 intercultural dialogue reasoned and structured at high technical level; 2. Satisfies at technical level a cultural exchange of high level. It is envisage to foreseen at least two days for each seminar: one day for the technical meeting and one day for the public confrontation; 3. Interact directly with the Strategy of Lisbon on the technical innovation finalized to the culture and to the dissemination; 4. Realizes a multi-medial product usable not only during the realization of the project, but also afterwards, and guarantee that “permanent strategy” requested in particular in the Culture 2000 multi-annual calls for proposals. 3
