Overview of training
Another Angle Consulting and Training is a successful Western Australian disability
and diversity business in the promotion and training of disability issues and community
awareness, providing services to the private and public sectors. Another Angle
Consulting & Training began through adversity and thrives on passion for creating
accepting and welcoming communities for people with disabilities, whilst demonstrating
self empowerment and influence to people with disabilities.
Kerry Allan-Zinner enjoys the high profile of being a strong advocate for people with
disabilities across WA.
Kerry’s work as a Disability Awareness and Communications Consultant and Trainer
specialises in delivering staff training to comply and enhance Local Government
Authorities obligations to Disability, Access and Inclusion Plans. The consultancy’s
services includes formal contracts as a Consumer Technical Expert for National
Disability Employment services auditing processes and Team Leader and evaluator
for the quality evaluation of WA state government funded Disability Sector
Organisations. Other services include University guest lecturer.
Kerry’s passion for creating accepting communities is not surpassed by her passion to
motivate and inspire people with disabilities to embrace their extraordinary lives, rather
than spending a lifetime striving to be ordinary. This theory offers many opportunities
as keynote speaker or guest speaker and trainer in and around Perth and regional WA.
A multi-dimensional view of disability, its challenges and barriers stems from being born
and succeeding with Cerebral Palsy, justifying self-worth to education, employment,
supports and legal systems.
Kerry’s vision is for a community that understands that, “People with disabilities aren’t
different. Life for people with disabilities is different.”
Package/program delivered
Training is delivered to broad sections of the community including State Government
Agencies, Local Government authorities, Private sector and community and disability
groups. Another Angle Consulting and Training specialises in meeting individual
organisational requirements and aims to educate and enlighten the community and
challenge the way our communities perceive life with disability.

Overview of training
Deaf Awareness Training
First Signs for Toddlers
Packages/programs delivered

Deaf Awareness Training: This program is aimed at providing the participants
greater awareness of deafness and the issues affecting the Deaf community.
Workshops are presented by a Deaf person and an interpreter. It’s more than just
facts, it aims at helping hearing people to appreciate language and culture of Deaf
people, the sense of pride in the achievements of Deaf people and how the
community struggles to overcome discrimination.

The WA Deaf Society’s "First Signs" program is a unique course in WA teaching
hearing parents with hearing babies to use keyword signing with their pre-verbal
infants. Recent scientific research demonstrates cognitive, social and emotional
benefits in developing early communication skills.
“First Signs” offers easy to learn essential signs and helps to significantly reduce
frustration in early interactions when pre-verbal infants are often unable to express
their needs in spoken language.
