Higher Purity Required by Crystalline Silicon Production
The refinement, miniaturization and high performance of industrial products require higher quality
(like indexes of purity, reliability, etc) of raw materials. Mono-crystalline silicon used in the
production of integrated circuit is upgraded from high pure to super pure, so higher quality
crystalline silicon material is required for solar cells to improve the photoelectric conversion
efficiency.
The key factor of products is the cleanliness degree of production process. Taking integrated
circuit miniaturization for example, it requires that the controllable particles in air must be kept in
a diameter range of 0.3～0.5 micrometer or even smaller. So purification technology is gradually
becoming one of the most important technologies for the quality improvement of high-end
industrial products.
Challenges to Air Purification Technology
Usually, air filtration is adopted to ensure the air cleanliness degree of the workshop. Its general
means is to install an air filter in the air supply system, thus the suspended particles and
microorganisms can be removed from the fresh air and the air entering the workshop can be
cleaned.
However, the factors caused air pollution of workshop shown as follows: 1. Dust and bacteria
existed in atmosphere as well as dust particles and microorganism coming in along with the fresh
air of air cleaning system; 2. Dust brought by operators; 3. Dust coming from several parts of the
building envelop, e.g. wall, ceiling, ground and some exposed pipelines; 4. Dust generated during
the production process of equipment or product.
So the air filtration can only guarantee the cleanliness degree of the entered air, and still can’t
eliminate the air pollution caused by other factors. In actual production, this single means can
hardly meet the requirements for cleanliness in general situations.

Technical features
● Adopt international popular two-stage electronic dust collector and current-type PWM
high-frequency conversion technology to ensure the peak efficiency even under dust loading
condition.
● The filtration efficiency of KJF electronic dust collector is equal to medium effect of F8 grade,
superior to other medium effect filter and the traditional fiber-type medium effect filtering screen.
● Small wind resistance (≦25Pa), large dust collection amount and low energy consumption;
● More than 10 years lifespan, without frequent renewal requiring only periodic maintenance.
Install DPC’s electronic air purifier beside the refining furnace to maximum reduce the dustiness
and effectively enhance the air quality in the production environment, therefore the production
system operation reliability and the product quality can be improved.
Working Principle
KJF series electronic air purifier is composed of metal screen, high-voltage ionizer, dust collecting
sector and granular active carbon filtering screen. When airflow passes through the electronic air
purifier, most of the heavy particles are trapped by the metal screen while smaller ones are brought
to the ionizing zone (where the PWM current-type high-frequency conversion technology can
realize a stable output of dc high voltage and therefore a strong electric field) along with the air
current where the smaller particles are de-ionized by high voltage, losing its electrons and
showing an electro-positive characteristic. When these positive particles go through the negative
dust collecting plates, they are absorbed on them, the strong electric field there breaks through the
cell walls of bacteria, viruses and microorganism sticking on these particles and thus kill them;
now is the final stage, the gaseous pollutants remained in air (such as harmful gases of
formaldehyde, hydrogen sulfide and ammonia gas, etc.) are absorbed by the granular active carbon
filtering screen when arriving there and the air finally enters the room after this whole purification.

Air purification solution for one solar-energy mono-crystalline silicon production workshop
Workshop Situation Overview
The mono-crystalline silicon production workshop is 1000 square meter and 8 meters high, 40 sets
of mono-crystalline silicon refining furnace are installed, the dustiness in the workshop during
actual measurement exceeds the range of the particle counter which is caused by a
mono-crystalline silicon refining furnace and due to the chimney effect caused by thermal current,
dust concentration in the middle and upper parts of the workshop is higher than that in the lower
part while particles having a diameter of less than one micrometer is in relatively large and very
unstable concentration; during the furnace cleaning process, relative large particles (visible) floats
in air because of the heat effect; and a 60 square meters, 4 meters high materials preparing room is
also included in the workshop.
Solution Scheme
In order to improve the use function and the total cleanliness degree of the refining workshop
mentioned above as well as to guarantee the product quality, DPC provides a customized solution
according to the specific conditions of the refining workshop, greatly improving the workshop
cleanliness degree, and realizing a 300,000 grade cleanliness degree in the area near the refining
furnace and a million grade cleanliness degree for the whole workshop.
Key of this solution is to adopt its own mature in-door self-circulation electronic air cleaner which
is capable of purifying air in circulation, and also an air humidifier which is capable of
centrifugally humidifying air with the intention to improve the air purification efficiency.
1. Distribute a number of movable KJFQ800 electronic air cleaners around the job site when
cleaning the graphite of the furnace so that the purification of pollutant source can be strengthened
especially when the furnace is opened and cleaned.
2. Install a number of movable KJFQ800-1102 wall-mounted electronic air cleaners in the workshop
and the height is 1.7~2 m. The wind disposal quantity is 800m³/h for each KJFQ800-1102
electronic air cleaner and the air circulation rate is 8 times per hour which effectively improving
the air purification for parts of the workshop.
3. A number of wind-blowing air atomizer are installed on the upper roof workshop at its central
axis to accelerate the dust condensation and settling process in the workshop, so that the diffuse
path of the dust particles can be controlled. The device adopts siphon-type automatic water feed
with stable and reliable working status. The relative humidity of the workshop can be kept within
50%～60% and can excellently control the dust diffusion inside workshop.
4. Install a number of movable KJFQ800 electronic air cleaner in the materials preparing room to
purify the air therein and also distribute them reasonably according to the arrangement of
materials preparing operation.
