Paper shoes installation commemorating the 60th anniversary of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
RESIDENCIES
DISABILITY HISTORY PROJECT (2006-2007)
A collaboration between two artists, a musician and Museum historian, leading to a touring exhibition (see
EXHIBITIONS/Tales From the Boarders).
Artwork was inspired by recorded childhood memories, museum artefacts and photographs relating to the ‘Great
Stoney School’ building, formerly a post-workhouse residential school. Initiated by Theatre Resource
Community Arts Group, Epping Forest Museum and the Arts Council.
FLORENCE TRUST RESIDENCY (2005-2006)
One of ten London artists chosen to share a year-long residency, based in St Saviour’s Church, Highbury, a listed
Victorian building. Residency included a programme of events, exhibitions and open studios.
SUZUKI INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL (August 1990 –2008, ongoing)
BRYANSTON SCHOOL, DORSET. Workshops with children & parents.
Paper masks, mobiles and puppets inspired by shadow puppets and Matisse’s cut-outs.
WORKSHOPS
NEW HALL, CAMBRIDGE (April/May 2009)
Paper shoes workshop to coincide with exhibition inspired by Women Artists Collection
DRAWING INTO SPACE/DRAWING INTO PAPER (2005-2008 ongoing) - City Literary Institute, London.
A series of workshops & Summer schools based on my practice, exploring Drawing in two and three dimensions.

COMMISSIONS
ANTI-SLAVERY POSTER (2006-2007)
Won the commission at a competition initiated by the University of the Arts and judged by the Anti-Slavery
Campaign; image displayed throughout London art colleges, to commemorate Abolition.
‘NEW VIEW’ (2006-2007)
Commissioned by eminent jazz musician Chris Laurence to make a paper double-bass scroll for CD cover.
Drawings, paper casts and digital images of floating scrolls inspired by jazz music. (‘New View’ published by
Basho Records). (See EXHIBITIONS /‘Jazz by Candlelight’).

Teaching a programme of Art & Design in an inner-city, multi-cultural girls comprehensive school.
-Duties included: link tutor for visiting artists & collaborations on a wide range of artists’ residencies, crosscurricular and cross-borough projects.
