WOGY-FM “Mr. Froggy’s Luck of the Irish” contest
1. All contests are open to any/all listeners, unless otherwise specified by WOGY-FM or its affiliates. No
purchase is necessary or required to participate or win. Contests are open to United States residents only.
2. Only one winner or qualifier per family or household will be allowed in a 30 day period. All winners
must be 18 years of age or older.
3. How to play and win. Between 2/15 and 3/16 listeners try to be the 10 th caller on the Froggy 104
studio line when they hear the cue to call. The 10th caller will win a $25.00 Taylor’s Jewelry gift
certificate and have their name put in the registration box for the $1000.00 grand prize that will be
given away at Taylor Jewelry on Saturday, March 17th between 11:30 and 1:30. Qualifiers MUST be
present at the broadcast location by 12:30 on the day of the event. Qualifiers will have to check in
and show a STATE ISSUED ID. ONE registration form will be drawn from the box at 1:15. If the
person whose name that is on the form is PRESENT, that person will be awarded the prize. If that
person is NOT PRESENT, another name will be drawn. Winner must sign a release prior to receiving
their prize and fill out the required tax form. All contestants acknowledge, as a condition of entry, that
WOGY-FM has a right to publicize, or broadcast the winner’s name, character, likeness, voice or all
matters incidental herein without compensation.
4. All prizes, unless otherwise specified, must be picked up within 30 days of winning. Prizes are available
for pick up during regular business hours, 8AM to 5PM Monday through Friday at 122 Radio Road
Jackson TN 38301. WOGY is not open weekends or major holidays.
WOGY-FM will not notify winners of the time remaining to procure their prize. It is the responsibility of
the winner to claim the prize within the thirty days provided. If WOGY, at its sole discretion chooses to
mail prizes, WOGY is not responsible for the failure to deliver or tardiness of prizes sent via US Postal
Service. Otherwise, prizes must be claimed in person, unless otherwise specified. Proper identification
(valid driver’s license, passport, state ID, military ID) required. All prizes not claimed in the allotted time
frame will be forfeited. Station management will decide the disposition of said forfeited prizes.
5. It is specified that cash prizes will be distributed to the winner in the form of a check made payable to the
winner. Exceptions can not be made. To claim a cash prize, winners must have proper, definitive picture
identification (valid driver’s license, passport, state ID, military ID) and a valid Social Security Account
number. Winners are responsible for claiming cash winnings as income on their Federal income tax return
in accordance with IRS regulations. WOGY will mail cash winners an IRS Form 1099 in accordance with
Federal regulations.
6. In certain “unique situations”, a designated representative will be allowed to accept prize for the winner.
Written authorization from the winner including representative’s name, ID and a photocopy of the winner’s
driver’s license is required. WOGY-FM management will qualify what constitutes a “unique situation”.
Our decision is final.
7. WOGY-FM may substitute another prize of equal value, in the event of non-availability of an announced
prize. All prizes are non-transferable and void where prohibited by law. No cash substitution of prizes, no
prize substitutions for cash.
8. In the event that two telephone lines are tied together during a phone contest, the entire phone call will
be disqualified and another phone call will be taken. WOGY-FM cannot award duplicate prizes to both
parties in a “tied together” situation. An example of “tied together” call may be two telephone calls
originating from the same location or residence or a party line. In the case of a dispute over telephone
lines, the decision of WOGY is final.
9. Employees of WOGY-FM, Forever Communications, its advertising agencies, their affiliates,
representatives, employees, and their families or households and employees of other radio stations, their
families and household members are ineligible to enter/win. Employees and their family members of
contest sponsors are ineligible to win.
10. Prizes may be mailed at the discretion of WOGY-FM. WOGY is not responsible for the failure or
tardiness of prizes sent via US Postal Service. Otherwise, prizes must be claimed in person, unless
otherwise specified. Proper identification (valid driver’s license, passport, state ID, military ID required).
11. WOGY is not responsible for defective prizes.
12. Additions or deletions to these rules may be made at the discretion of WOGY, and may be enacted at
any time.
13. WOGY-FM, its agencies, affiliates, sponsors or representatives absolve themselves of any liability,
financial or otherwise, resulting from any on or off-air contests staged.
14. All contest entries become the property of WOGY-FM. Furthermore, WOGY-FM may withhold any
contest materials crucial to the completion of the contest.
15. Basic contest rules and addenda are available for review during regular business hours at the WOGYFM offices, 122 Radio Road Jackson TN 38301.
16. Any tie will be broken by random drawing from among the tied, qualified entries. The drawing will be
conducted by WOGY and the results of the drawing are final. The decision of WOGY is final. Winners
will be notified by phone
17. WOGY contests are meant for the sole purpose of having fun and building a strong relationship
with our listening audience. At no time will any contest qualifiers or winners be allowed to enter into
legal action against WOGY or our parent company, FOREVER COMMUNICATIONS. In the event
of legal action against WOGY or our parent company, the person initiating litigation will be forever
banned from all future contest, promotions and events with ALL stations under the FORVER
COMMUNICATIONS banner.
