All Saints’ is a modern Anglican Parish Church with a unique
layout – the altar and sanctuary is in the centre of the church, with
everyone gathered around. The building describes our theology:
God is not remote at the far end of the church, but dwells right in the
middle of his people. The worship is family friendly, fairly relaxed,
using modern liturgy with a range of formats, and a mix of
traditional and more modern music.
There is a wide range of activities for children and young people
throughout the week in the church hall.

9.30am Eucharist (1st Sunday of the month, family/parade service)
6.30pm Evensong (not 1st Sunday of the month). Monthly
Messy Church 4pm – 6pm with activities for all the family.
Worship in the modern catholic tradition – Morning services use
Common Worship liturgy and BCP Sunday evenings. Choir led
music. Preaching of the word is also taken seriously. A welcoming
congregation of all ages worshipping in a fairly new but traditional
style building with some important Arts and Crafts Movement
windows. Junior church for children meets at 9.30am in the church
hall. Sharing meals together is an important part of the community
life of the church and Friday Fayre serves good home cooking at
very reasonable prices noon – 2pm every Friday in the church hall.
To find Christ Church you need to look for the ruin with the tower
near the centre of town for, despite appearances, a congregation still
worships there Sunday by Sunday in the building at the east end.
Common Worship liturgy – central churchmanship with vestments.
Until recently there was a mainly elderly congregation but now
joined by some younger people anxious to develop a centre of town
ministry. Children’s activities in church at 11am Sundays.

A beautiful Victorian country church, with an intimate feel, we
provide a traditional style of Anglican worship within a thoughtful
and friendly atmosphere. We have a wide range of ages and
backgrounds participating in church life, drawing folk both from the
farming community and from recently built housing estates. The
minister was previously an MMU tutor, who retains links with the
university.

Formed just two years ago through the unification of Bradfield
Road and North Street Methodist Churches. Bradfield Road
has:
A weekly morning service at 10:30 am, which is of a traditional
Methodist style and a fortnightly (1st & 3rd Sundays). Evening
service at 6 pm, which is much more contemporary in style and
quite informal.
North Street has:
A 10:30 am and a 6 pm service each week.
The morning service is moving towards a more contemporary style
whilst the evening service remains quite traditional. There is a
thriving junior church at North Street with over 30 children and
teenagers taking a very active role in the life of the church.
There is also a fortnightly Wednesday evening service, Re:
Generation, which uses the most up to date worship music (with a
live band) and multi-media content to explore the Christian faith and
worship God.

Occupying a striking Victorian building, we now seek to cater for
the needs of the 21st century. Our style of worship is
relaxed, with a mix of traditional and contemporary
worship styles. Active participation is encouraged from a
surprisingly cosmopolitan congregation. Services
can be especially lively when it’s an all-age parade service. Services
are followed by refreshments. We are a welcoming congregation,
representative of the whole community we serve.
