Membership 101 + How Your Club Can Contribute to 180K Members

A brief refresher on 'why membership matters' including a progress report as it relates to the 180K goal.
The session will close with a short discussion on how clubs can help make an impact toward reaching
this goal.

Following an exciting mock game-watching event at lunch, the group will debrief and provide feedback
to AAUM staff about their experience with game-watching events.

focus on engaging the U-M network and drive AAUM membership. Learn about three career event
models that the Alumni Association would like you to implement and the resources available to support
these programs.

Annual Giving: Building the Donor Pyramid

Introduction to AAUM Annual Giving philosophy and explain how Annual Giving works with Major Gifts
regarding Club Scholarships. Club Leaders will view the FY15 AG campaign calendar and discuss how
Clubs can use Annual Giving mailings/emails to complement their regional fundraising.

The Alumni Association is evolving to provide relevant programs and resources to our newest
Wolverines! Get tips on how to share this information at your regional events for new alumni and
students, and share best practices/challenges with your peers.

Participate in a collaborative session with your peers from other regional clubs to discuss best practices
and other ideas for successful programming in your region.

This discussion will focus on how the Alumni Association is transitioning toward an alumni-centered
model of communication across all its vehicles (website, blog, Alumnus magazine, e-TrueBlue
newsletters) and how clubs play a critical role in storytelling.

Club Leaders will receive an overview of Communication’s best practices: listserv messages and social
media, including a new pilot with a goal of increasing audience and engagement across the primary
social media channels. Participants will be able ask questions towards the end of the session.
