GREAT RIVER STOCKDOG CLUB Proudly Presents MARC CHRISTOPHER HERDING CLINIC June 18th & 19th, 2005 with Private Lessons on June 20th, 2005 At Myron Lindgren farm in Scandia, MN Is there something better than the traditional methods of training stock dogs? Tired of watching enthusiastic young dogs racing sheep toward you out of control? Had enough of yelling, running at your dog and throwing things at him? Well, then you will enjoy and appreciate the training methods of Marc Christopher. Quiet, gentle maneuvers that make doing the wrong thing difficult and the right thing easy - highlight Marc's very intuitive way of schooling dogs. The dogs learn to handle livestock and then commands are put to correct actions. Marc Christopher is a USBCHA Trial Judge, clinician, and trainer of all breed stock dogs since 1977. Marc understands the natural behavior and silent universal language between predator and prey. This is the foundation of the training method he teaches. Marc will be in control of time and the amount of working time that each dog is allowed. With the use of a remote microphone and a P.A. system, spectator participation as well as handler participation is encouraged. Videotaping is allowed only of your own dog working with Marc’s permission. A waiver, provided the day of the seminar, must be signed by all in attendance.
