New Business

Motion for the proposal to be heard by Senate made by Matt Allen, seconded by Senator
Mirilo.

Parking Proposal: Revision of new parking policy as it pertains to Fraternity/Sorority housing
brought before senate.
o Fraternities are willing to cover cost of new parking passes being distributed. This is a
temporary solution.
o Sharing Lot K would be possible at a future time.
o What about the fact that this is being instituted after the start of the school year?
Fraternities will offer manpower to submit warnings to cars in violation.

End to discussion proposed by Senator Shutz, seconded by Senator March, and passed by
acclimation.

On a vote of 14-0-1 the proposal is approved by Student Senate

New faces to the housing committee in the coming weeks with fall housing elections.
Academic Affairs: Kelly Morman

Meeting coming with director of financial aid to furthur discuss the Continuous Achievement
Scholarship.


o
Roster collections are coming up in the future for all campus organizations to improve the
accuracy of Senate’s records of various student groups.
o
Spread the word of campus president's to update their information and pass on new leadership
information to Secretary Bennett.

Housing Election Candidates meeting this Friday at 5pm in MAC 205

Campaigning officially begins next week

Currently there is a vacancy in the College of Business

Secretary Cadwell has received several student concerns regarding the dining hours on Sunday
in McIntosh, and regarding White Bear’s reduced hours of operation.

The Spirit Bus organized for the ONU v. Mt. Union football game has been a huge success. It is
booked full with a waiting list as well.

“Opening the Way” was a huge success, thanks go to all those involved.

The “Harambe Festival” is at 5pm on Thursday September 28th

Secretary Hearn will be attending President’s Roundtable meeting. The Roundtable consists of
the Presidents of the campus multicultural organizations meeting together.


President Eagle’s thanks go to Secretary Schreck for overseeing a smooth picnic and Secretary
Stan for organizing a great Senate Awareness Week. Good job!

Applications for Homecoming King and Queen available

Secretary Stinehart & Jones, and Vice President Senesi, Secretary Morelock accepted
nominations for homecoming king.

Secretaries Kyle Stinehart and Bethany Schreck voted to represent Senate in the Homecoming
King and Queen elections.

The following members were nominated for Student Senate Representative for Homecoming
Queen: Secretary Schreck (accepted), Catherine Taylor (not present), Jenna Schaffner
(accepted).

“Up Till Dawn” will be seeking Organization Approval in the coming weeks.

Raffle coming up at 6pm immediately following GA as a part of Senate Awareness Week.
