Narcan (Naloxone) 1.2 mg IV and/or 1.2 mg IMI (may be repeated up to 4 times) Indications of Narcotic overdose: may be conscious with pinpoint pupils; decreased level of consciousness; drowsiness; slurred speech; unsteady gait; nausea and vomiting; respiratory depression, bradycardia may be unconscious with pinpoint pupils, recent track marks. Other measures required: check and if necessary proceed with resuscitation. administer oxygen by face mask at 6 - 8 l/p/m. Ensure adequate oxygenation by: Guedels airway, jaw support etc to maintain airway; Contact on call doctor as soon as possible regarding further management.
