TYPE OF WORK (Please give a precise description of trainees tasks)
The Computer Programmer role would suit a talented software engineer looking to develop high
performance interactive image processing, 3D image visualisation and surgical simulation tools. This varied
role will involve both the refinement of existing software and helping to bring new features from initial
concept through to product release.
As part of the software development team, your duties will include:
 Improving existing code
 Building new tools for existing software
 Coding, testing, and reviewing related packages

Knowledge, Skills:
good knowledge of C++ is
required; knowledge of Linux would
be a plus; knowledge of VTK, ITK,
wxWidgets, Visual C++ or MySQL,
and PHP would be very
appreciated (ideal candidate); selfmotivated and able to work on own
initiative whilst being a team player;
ability to work in a flexible
environment
