Instructional Program: Beatty Park Elementary incorporates the Common Core Standards for reading/language arts and math and Ohio Content Standards for health, science, and social studies. Our students all have an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) where educational and behavioral needs of the student are addressed. Accommodations and modifications are provided to allow for student success. Each classroom is staffed with a special education teacher and an intervention aide and has no more than 10 students in any classroom. Programming to Address Non-Academic Barriers: At Beatty Park we address all aspects of a child’s development. We have a partnership with St. Vincent’s Family Center that provides 6 Master Level mental health clinicians who address mental health education, intervention and support to students and families. They also provide a recreation therapist who provides social skill and anger management support. Beatty Park also has a full time behavior specialist to help address student behavior and classroom accommodations.
