needs. This includes individuals who have learning
disabilities, processing deficits, intellectual
giftedness, behavioral problems, emotional issues,
multicultural differences, receptive/expressive
communication deficits, visual and auditory
impairments, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity
Disorders, Aspergers Syndrome, Autism, Traumatic
Brain Injury, and Developmental Disabilities.
We conduct comprehensive pychoeducational and
neuropychological assessments for individuals of all
ages. The typical assessment process includes
review of prior educational records, classroom
observation, parent/teacher interviews,
administration of a wide variety of different
assessment instruments, report writing, discussion
of assessment results and attendance at an IEP
meeting. Evaluations are conducted in English, as
well as Spanish, including areas of intellectual,
academic, visual/auditory processing, neurological,
emotional and behavioral functioning.
Psychotherapeutic services are provided for all ages.
After gaining background information regarding
your presenting issues, through oral and/or written
input, your therapist will articulate a working
understanding of the issues, treatment plan,
therapeutic objectives, and a summary of the
possible outcomes. You will be asked to give
feedback and views on your therapy, its progress,
and other aspects of therapy in order improve the
delivery of services. Your therapist will draw upon a
variety of empirically-based psychological
approaches that have been found to treat your
specific issues. These approaches may include
cognitive-behavioral, behavioral, developmental,
client-entered, family systems, and/or
psychoeducational.
