TECHNICAL DIRECTORS
Boys:
Flavio Ferri
Flavio Ferri enjoyed a stellar college and professional playing career including stints in
the MLS and with the US Olympic Team.
In 2006, Flavio took over the coaching and management responsibilities of the Long
Island Rough Riders professional men’s team that played in the 2nd division league in
the United Soccer Leagues. During his professional coaching tenure with the Rough
Riders, Flavio helped restructure the men’s soccer franchise while helping players with
their professional careers.
Flavio has also had great success coaching at the youth level. He has guided his
teams to various state titles and national rankings. Flavio holds an NSCAA Advanced
National Coaching Diploma.
Girls:
Peter Zaratin
Prior to founding Globall Soccer, Peter played professional soccer in the United States
and in Europe.
Peter graduated from Santa Clara University in 1995 with a BS in Communications.
While at Santa Clara, Peter played under former U.S. World Cup coach Steve
Sampson. During his college career, he was a member of the 1992 team that went to
the National Finals of the NCAA. Peter was awarded numerous West Coast
Conference Awards and in his senior year captained the Broncos. Prior to attending
Santa Clara University, Peter played for the Regional and State ODP Program.
Peter also has coached professionally; in 2003 Peter was hired as head goalkeeper
coach for the New York Power in the former WUSA league. Peter also provides training
to the Rough Rider goalkeepers. Peter has coached several youth teams and trained
thousands of players on Long Island over the years. He holds several coaching
licenses including an A, B and a Youth License from the United States Soccer
Federation.

COACHING STAFF
Meghan Frey
Meghan is a former college and professional standout player. Meghan is a current
Junior Rough Riders Coach as well as Facilities Director. Meghan is also a GK coach
and holds an NSCAA Advanced National Coaching Diploma.
Shaun Higgins
Shaun played for the Hofstra University Men’s team and also professionally for many
years. Shaun is the Rough Riders Technical Director. He also coaches in the Junior
Rough Riders Program and holds and NSCAA Advanced Regional Diploma.
Bill Hender
Bill is currently the Rough Riders Camp Director. Bill also coaches in the Junior Rough
Riders Program and holds an NSCAA National Diploma.
Vince Carbone
Vince was a standout player at Hofstra University. He is also a Junior Rough Riders
Coach.
Josh Cruz
Josh is a current player for the Long Island Rough Riders. He has also been a Junior
Rough Riders Coach for 3 years
Jorge Perez
Jorge is a former Rough Riders player and current Rough Riders coach.
