Grammar Prezi’s
Welcome back to the world of GRAMMAR! As a refresher, you are going to create a grammar Prezi, which will educate
the class on various parts of speech. A Prezi works much like a PowerPoint except it allows for more creativity. Prezi’s
are online, you do not need to have the program at home, you simply need to have access to the internet and sign in to
the Prezi with your email and password.
Project Requirements:
Choose one of the following parts of speech:
Proper noun
Pronouns
Nouns (common and abstract)
Action verb
Adjective
Adverb
Preposition
Conjunction
Article
Research your chosen part of speech- I recommend using:

When researching, you need to gather the following information:
1. Define the part of speech
2. Provide THREE examples of the part of speech in sentences (make sure your examples are correct)
3. Provide TWO common mistakes or misconceptions about the part of speech
4. Provide a “cheat sheet” listing THREE helpful hints as to how to determine the part of speech in a sentence.
These hints may appear as rules (never end a sentence with prepositions, or articles always come before
nouns or adjectives).
Once you have found ALL required information, create your Prezi. Each of the requirements above will be an aspect of
your Prezi.
Your Prezi is due at the START of class on Friday. You will be asked to present your Prezi to the class.

______9 pts Three examples of the part of speech in sentences- the examples and sentences are grammatically correct
and accurate. They help the viewer better understand the part of speech.
______8 pts Two common mistakes and misconceptions are listed, they are accurate and appropriate to the part of
speech presented.
______9 pts Three helpful hints or rules are provided. They are accurate and allow for a better understanding and
identification of the part of speech.
______15 The Prezi is professional and visually appealing- the path is commonsensical and allows for a better
understanding of the part of speech.
______5 pts Spelling, grammar and punctuation- no more than one mistake.
