Translating and Editing Services from English to Czech Language

I would like to make an offer on the job advertised based on my expertise in science,
engineering and medical instrumentation for translating and editing of professional publications
from English to Czech. I am a member of the American Translator Association (ATA).
Background: My native language is Czech. I have dual citizenship, U.S. and Czech,
with residency in both countries. I have a doctoral degree in technical sciences from the Czech
Technical University and over 30 years of employment in the Unites States aerospace industry,
including NASA. I am a member the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA),
the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), and the Czech Science and
Technology Society (CVTS). I have recently retired from active duties but I would like to
continue part time as a translator of technical, scientific, and research publications.
Publications: I have published over 50 research reports and technical articles in English
and Czech, and presented papers worldwide at technical meetings and conferences. I served
for 8 years as an associate editor for the AIAA Journal and Journal of Propulsion. Also I was a
member of the Scientific Council of the Czech Technical University. During my professional
career I occasionally served as a translator for visiting Czech scientist and researchers.
Expertise: The field of my scientific and technical expertise includes physics, aerospace,
engineering, energy, transportation, computers, instrumentation (including medical), data
acquisition and reduction, and all related disciplines. As a former consultant to medical
instrumentation industry I am fully familiar with medical terminology. I will supply a detailed
resume upon request.
Cost. I offer timely work at a very competitive rate of USD 0,05 to 0,07 per source word
depending on the complexity of the original text.
