Illinois Landscape Contractors Association 2010 In the Field Design Tour In The Field 2010 will take the place of the Design Seminar for 2010. Tour Date: July 16, 2010 Location and Times TBD In The Field 2010 is an all day learning field trip that will concentrate on successfully executed sites that offer important educational viewpoints in design, engineering, construction and maintenance. The tour will provide an inside perspective from all persons involved that can include the client, designer, consultants, contractor(s) and maintenance provider. Participants will be able to experience design solutions in our member’s outdoor laboratories, tackling the many complex issues involving a site including client programming, design theory, hardscape and planting design, grading, drainage, sustainability and creativity to inspire human use. We are looking for a selection of 4-5 amazing projects to showcase on this biennial summer tour. Projects can be of any spectrum in the private or public realm and of any size. Whether you offer in-house design services or work alongside a landscape architectural firm as the general contractor, develop your project team and submit a site to support this unique opportunity. Submittals will be reviewed and selected projects will be part of the tour(s) to take place on July 16, 2010. Projects that are not part of this tour will be reconsidered at the time of planning for the 2012 tour. Tour projects will also be featured in The Landscape Contractor magazine.
