The Glass Castle Literature circle assignment For this unit you will be put into literature circles. This means that you will be reading and working with 3-4 people to complete this book, answer discussion questions, and complete a “Book issues Essay.” This unit will move very fast so in class group work time is important and cannot be wasted. You will be answering the discussion questions in your lit circles. You should plan out who will answer what questions so that you can accomplish the required due dates. This means that you only have to have one completed set of questions per group. *The Group Book Themes and Issues Essay will require your group to write organize, and construct an essay that analyzes a theme or issue found in the Glass Castle. This essay should describe the issue or theme and discuss how this issue or theme effects the action and story line of the memoir. Each group member is responsible for one page of writing for a total of 3 to 4 pages. As a group you will decide who writes about what concerning the issue your group choose. Your groups should also work together to construct transitions between each individual section for the paper. The paper is due on Friday, June 7th and should be in final copy form on that day.
