Developing course materials (see also under 6, on the teaching portfolio) I developed the course material for Mathematical Routes (EDUC 1210); the first year mandatory mathematics course for all students at Wits School of Education. When I began teaching the course I found that it was quite incomplete. I worked very hard to structure the course, to improve its depth and coverage so that it is of acceptable standard. I drew from my many years’ experience as a mathematics teacher educator in Zimbabwe to help develop the course to a standard that I am now proud of. Writing Textbook Chapters Wrote the first three chapters of; Teaching Mathematics: Foundation and Intermediate Phase (ISBN 9780195997897). Cape Town: Oxford University Press (2013). 5 Curriculum Vitae and Research Output for Dr. Judah P. Makonye D. SUPERVISION OF HIGHER DEGREES Master of Science Education Project supervision in 2014 1.
