Rock FM’s “HYWEL & JAMIE’S Passenger 97 COMPETITION (the “Competition”)
Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions should be read together with and are in addition to ROCK FM’s standard
Terms & Conditions at http://www.rockfm.co.uk/terms-and-conditions/ (together the “Rules”). This
Competition is promoted by ROCK FM t/a Bauer Radio Limited whose registered office is at 1 Lincoln
Court, Lincoln Road, Peterborough, PE1 2FR and registered under company number 01394141
(“ROCK FM”).
The Prize (as detailed below) is being provided by Jet holidays Ltd and this Competition is being run
in association with Jet2holidays Ltd (“Jet2holidays”).
By entering the Competition you will be deemed to have understood and will be bound by these
Rules. The Rules are available on request from ROCK FM and may be downloaded from ROCK FM’s
website at http://www.rockfm.co.uk/ .
The Prize
The Winner (as defined below) will win a holiday for 2 adults (the “Prize”), which includes:

7 nights’ all inclusive accommodation at the 4*Mersoy Exclusive Aqua Resort in Icelmer,
Turkey, provided by Jet2holidays;

return economy flights from Blackpool Airport to Iclemer;

transfers to and from the resort in Turkey;

1 item of checked baggage per passenger.
The Prize does not include:

travel and holiday insurance;

travel to and from Blackpool airport;

any taxes due in respect of the Prize;

certain alcoholic beverages which will be notified to you by the Mersoy Exclusive Aqua
Resort;

personal expenditure for the duration of the holiday including, food and drinks outside of
the hotel and other incidental costs such as additional activities, travel and excursions,
unless stated elsewhere in these Terms;

charges associated with ensuring all those travelling have a valid passport, visa and requisite
vaccinations (please note that it is the Winner’s responsibility to find out what visas, if any,
are required); and

any other charges.
How to WIN

The Competition starts at 8.30am on 21 August 2012 and ends when a Successful
Competitor has answered the 97th of the 97 Questions correctly (the “Term”). If you try to
enter the Competition before it starts and / or after the Competition ends you will not
become a Successful Competitor and will not have a chance to answer any of the 97
Questions so will not win the Prize.

To enter the Competition all entrants must listen to ROCK FM, during the Term on Monday
to Friday between 6.00am to 10.00am. On the first day of the Competition (21st August) the
Presenters will announce that the phone lines are open and participants should phone
01772900974.

Hywel and Jamie (the “Presenters”) have a total of 97 Questions which need to be answered
before the Prize will be awarded (each being the “97 Questions” or a “97 Question”). Each
day of the Competition the first eligible person who calls Rock FM, after the Presenters have
announced that the lines are open (the “Successful Competitor”), will be asked a maximum
of five of the 97 Questions by the Presenters.

If the Successful Competitor answers a 97 Question incorrectly, they will be out of that day’s
play of the Competition and will not be eligible to become a Successful Competitor again
that day. The Presenters will ask the same 97 Question to the next person waiting on the
line. Once this 97 Question is answered correctly the Competition for the day ends and
resumes the next day (providing the next day is a weekday).

A Successful Competitor who answers a 97 Question incorrectly will be able to call Rock FM
on subsequent days in order to become a Successful Competitor for that day, but will only
be able to become a Successful Competitor for a maximum of 3 separate days in total. Any
participant who has been a Successful Competitor for 3 separate days will be ineligible to
become a Successful Competitor for any subsequent days and will not have a chance to
answer any of the 97 Questions so will not win the Prize.

Up to 5 of the 97 Questions will be asked during each Competition play.

Successful Competitors will have a maximum of 5 seconds to answer a 97 Question and the
Presenters will only repeat a 97 Question once. ROCK FM’s decision is final as to the correct
answer to the 97 Questions and on the application of the 5 second time limit.

If the Successful Competitor answers their 97 Question/s for that’s days play correctly, they
will be called by the Presenters on the next day (provided the next day is a weekday) to
answer up to 5 more of the 97 Questions by the Presenters. If Rock FM is unable to contact
the Successful Competitor, the Successful Competitor will be disqualified and the Presenters
will announce that the lines are re-open.

The Successful Competitor will continue to be asked up to 5 of 97 Questions per day until all
of the 97 Questions have been answered correctly.

Entries will not be accepted before the Presenters have announced that lines are open for
and the lines will close once a Successful Competitor is live on-air. If participants call when
lines are closed they will not be eligible to win the Prize.
WINNERS

The Successful Competitor who answers the 97th Question correctly will be the “Winner”
and will be announced by the Presenters live on-air.

The Winner’s contact details will be passed to Jet2holidays who will contact them to
arrange delivery and any final details in connection with the Prize. Rock FM will use
reasonable commercial endeavours (but cannot guarantee) to ensure that the Prize will be
finalised and available within 6 months of date of the Winner being announced. The prize is
subject to date restrictions.

Names and home town of any winners will be posted on ROCK FM’s website after they have
been announced live on-air.
SPOT PRIZES


In addition to the Prize, the Successful Competitor(s) who answer the 20th, 40th 60th and 80th
of the 97 Questions correctly will win a Nikon Coolpix S3300 camera.
Successful Competitors (when they answer their first of the 97 Questions) may also be
awarded tickets to local attractions which have been provided to RockFM by local attraction
owners. Only one of these prizes will be awarded per Successful Competitor and Rock FM
takes no liability or responsibility for the satisfactory quality of the local attraction in each
case.
OTHER CONDITIONS

No Purchase is necessary to enter this Competition.

The Prize must be taken between 31st October 2012 and 23rd September 2013.

The Prize is subject to availability. This means that Jet2holidays may offer Winners
alternative destinations to the equivalent value of the Prize.

The Prize holiday duration may not be extended and any additional passengers must pay
normal charges, as specified by Jet2holidays.

The Winner will be subject to and warrants that it shall comply with additional terms and
conditions as specified by Jet2holidays or its affiliate companies.

Flights cannot be upgraded and the Winner will not be able to collect air-miles in connection
with the Prize.

The Prize is not refundable, transferable nor changeable. No cash or alternative will be
offered in any circumstance.

Participants must be over 18, UK residents and must not be employees (or part of their
immediate families) of the ROCK FM, Jet2holidays or any other company professionally
connected to the Competition.

The chance to play in the Competition and to become a Successful Competitor is strictly on a
first come first serve basis and ROCK FM reserves the right to amend, cancel or change these
Rules and /or the Prize at its sole discretion.

The person accompanying the Winner on the Prize holiday must be the person the Winner
has notified to Jet2holidays upon being contacted by them at the end of the Competition.

The Prize will be awarded at the absolute discretion of ROCK FM.

Jet2holidays will take into consideration and use reasonable endeavours (but does not
guarantee) to accommodate any dates specified by the Winner to partake in the holiday
Prize. All dates specified are subject to flight and hotel availability. The Prize cannot be
taken during peak times such as school and bank holidays. Jet2holidays shall ensure that
they give as much prior notice as possible if any changes are made to the Prize and that
Winners will be notified via the email or telephone details they have provided to
Jet2holidays.

If the Winner changes names of passengers, travel dates and accommodation once they
have been confirmed to Jet2hoildays, they may be subject to standard charges as detailed in
Jet2holidays’ terms and conditions available at http://www,jet2holidays.com/terms-andconditions.aspx .

The Winner and their travelling companion must have a 10 year passport with 6 months
remaining.

ROCK FM can disqualify any caller from being eligible to talk to the Presenters and/or have a
chance to win the Prize if it reasonably believes that that person has breached these Rules.

All participants warrant that whilst they are on-air they will not say anything or behave in
any way which could be considered inappropriate or offensive, which might cause harm to
ROCK FM’s reputation, or which might otherwise bring it into disrepute.

All participants consent to their voices being used on ROCK FM’s radio broadcasts, to their
name and likenesses being used on ROCK FM’s website, and to a copies of the same (the
“Copies”), being stored by ROCK FM for exploitation in any and all media for promotional
purposes.

All participants agree to assign to ROCK FM the title to, any intellectual property rights or
interest that they may have in the Copies.
DATA
Participants’ personal data (including telephone numbers and addresses) will be collected by ROCK
FM. This personal information will be used to contact them if they win and home towns and names
will be posted on the ROCK FM website. ROCK FM will pass entrants’ personal information to
Jet2holidays but strictly for the purposes of operating this Competition.
By entering the Competition, participants consent to the storage and processing of their personal
data as described here, which shall be strictly in accordance with current UK Data Protection
legislation. Personal data may remain stored by ROCK FM, and/or Jet2holidays after the Competition
has ended but it will not be passed to other third parties. ROCK FM will not use your personal data
for marketing purposes. Further information on ROCK FM’s uses of personal data, is detailed in ROCK
FM’s privacy policy at http://www.rockfm.co.uk/ .
LIABILITY

Only entries received in accordance with these Rules will be accepted.

ROCK FM is not responsible for any aspect of the Prize, including unsatisfactory quality or
late delivery. If the Winner has any concerns about the Prize, they must contact Jet2holidays
Ltd, Low Fare Finder House, Leeds Bradford International Airport, Yeadon, Leeds LS19 7TU.

ROCK FM will not be liable if the Prize cannot be taken by the Winner.

ROCK FM is not responsible for any costs associated with entering this Competition including
(without limitation) travel costs or costs associated with telephoning. All telephone calls will
be charged at local rate.

ROCK FM is not responsible if a Successful Competitor losses signal or battery whilst they are
speaking to the Presenters. If this happens, a Successful Competitor may be disqualified
from the Competition.

Other than for death or personal injury resulting from its negligence and so far as permitted
by law, ROCK FM hereby excludes all liability for any loss, damage, cost and expense,
whether direct or indirect, howsoever caused in connection with the Competition or any
aspect of the Prize.
Complaints about the running of this Competition may be made in writing (including via email) to
Jamie Wood (jamie.wood@rockfm.co.uk). A complaint will not be considered if it is made more
than 14 days after the date the Winner is announced.
