School Psychologist
Frederick County Public Schools, Winchester, VA, August 2005 to July 2008.
Provided comprehensive psychological services in three schools. Responsibilities included
providing psychoeducational assessments, group and individual counseling, and
consultation with parents, teachers, and administrators. Additional responsibilities
included conducting staff trainings on behavior assessment, intervention techniques, and
current research in cognitive assessment. Served as site supervisor to specialist-level
intern.

Lead School Psychologist
Kent County Public Schools, Chestertown, MD, July, 2001 to July 2005.
Provided comprehensive psychological services to two schools. Additional responsibilities
included supervising specialist-level intern and beginning school psychologists,
representing school psychologists at Administrators’ meetings, and serving as a
chair/member on numerous district and interagency committees.
Responsibilities also included leadership for several key district projects:
Successfully wrote and managed multi-year Maryland School-Based Mental
Health Grant, which provided additional school psychologist positions to provide
expanded mental health services to students. Duties included training, hiring and
supervising staff, conducting data-based grant evaluations, coordinating with local
mental health providers, and overseeing budget.
Served as district Crisis Coordinator. Successfully co-wrote and co-managed
federal Crisis Management Grant and served as member of district Crisis
Management Leadership Team. Duties included training staff members, writing the
district crisis plan, developing and facilitating crisis drills, and providing evaluation
and feedback on drill performance. Networked with local emergency
responders/officials to facilitate dialogue between local emergency officials and
school administrators. Co-wrote grant reports and represented district at federal
grant meetings.
Facilitated district Positive Behavior Intervention Supports project.
Responsibilities included serving as coach to project schools, attending state
trainings and meetings, and submitting project reports.
Coordinated Instructional Consultation (IC) project for district. Served as IC team
facilitator for two elementary schools. Coordinated project with staff from
University of Maryland. Represented district at state meetings and provided
training and coaching to staff.
