THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE APPLYING:
1. Our GCSE courses involve taught classes which take place on Monday and/or Tuesday evening
(between 6 pm to 9 pm) in term time.
2. You MUST be able to attend weekly.
3. For the duration of the course, you MUST have in place childcare or make prior arrangements
with your employer to be available each week to attend class.
4. We EXPECT YOU to make a strong commitment to the course and attend classes. This is
particularly important in English, Psychology & Science where you undertake controlled
assessments during class time.
5. You MUST ensure you will be available in the daytime for examination(s) in late May/early June
2016.

Your application will be processed by the relevant curriculum department and you will be invited to book an
appointment to attend an interview.
At the interview you will be asked to complete an Initial Assessment for literacy and/or numeracy which will help
us decide if this is the correct course for you and also helps us to identify any possible support that you might
need. Also, you will need to demonstrate to the course tutor/advisor that you have the commitment and skills
necessary to successfully complete the course.
