Requirements for
Historian Element Staff Position
The requirements needed to hold this position are as follows:
1. Must be passing all classes
2. Must be able to attend most service and activity events.
3. Must be able to attend staff meetings at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday mornings.
4. Must be able to mange time to work before or after school on
historian tasks.
5. Must be able to meet established deadlines on all tasks.
6. Must communicate with and cooperate with information management chief.
7. Must maintain an “A” average in AFJROTC.

Archiving

Collect all staff meeting minutes that have been posted on the group website, print copies,
and file them for future reference.

After the information management chief has collected and processed the group’s total
service and activity hours, it is the historian’s responsibility to compare them with the
hours of previous years to determine if they have gone up or down over the years.

Record events such as Commander’s Call, Military Ball, and Awards Night and
document awards earned, changes in staff, and the Military Ball Court.

Must work with the public affairs chief to collect every article published and file them for
future reference.

Document each new staff, individual awards earned, group goals, total service and
activity hours of the group, academics, and all aspects of the group’s functions.
