Mid-South Educational Research Association Board Report Spring 2013 Semester Year Historian Committee or Officer COMMITTEE OR OFFICER SCOPE: From the MSERA Bylaws: The Historian shall maintain an archival repository of historical records and documents of the Association as specified by the Board in an electronic form. ACTIONS SINCE LAST REPORT: During the past several months, I have continued to collect and organize the paper copies of historical records and documents, especially those from previous Board and Annual meetings. During the next few months, these documents will be scanned, saved as individual pdf copies, organized by meeting and sent to David Morse for posting on the website in the MSERA Historian’s Archives http://www.msera.org/historian.htm. After that, I will be communicating with the Board and Chairpersons asking for a review of what has been gathered to provide guidance on 1) what would be helpful to try to obtain from the past and 2) what should be maintained in the future. ACTIONS TO BE CONSIDERED: Because the wiki materials are not open to all members of MSERA, I request guidance on what period of time after a Board meeting should elapse to allow for any corrections before either 1) electronically moving the documents to the MSERA website historical archives or 2) electronically copying the documents and having them posted to the MSERA website historical archives?
