Daphne-Institute of Applied Ecology WWF Danube-Carpathian Programme 2nd Expert Meeting on Favourable Conservation Status of Natura 2000 Habitats and Species State Nature Conservancy of the Slovak Republic, Bioconsult Ltd., Daphne –Institute of Applied Ecology, and WWF Danube-Carpathian Programme have a pleasure to invite you to the expert meeting on definitions of favourable conservation status of NATURA 2000 habitats and species. The meeting is co-organised jointly within a frameworks of respectively PHARE TWINNING Project “Implementation of the Habitats and Birds Directive in the Slovak Republic (SK2002/IB/EN/03), Natura 2000 in Slovakia - Bridging the Implementation Process (DANCEE, No. 128/037-022) and the final stage of the project “Influencing EU Accession”. The meeting will take place on 15-16 June 2004. at SUZA Drotárska cesta 46 Bratislava 811 04 The purpose of the meeting is to present draft definitions of Favourable Conservation Status of habitats and species, whose conservation is required by the Birds and Habitats Directives and seek endorsement of such definitions from a broader expert community in Slovakia. The workshop will also provide a possibility to initiate discussion of monitoring and conservation management of Natura 2000 habitats and species in Slovakia.
